I am senior pastor of Puyallup SDA Church–a diverse congregation of roughly 700 members–located 45 minutes southeast of Seattle Washington. My primary roles involve preaching, administration, and equipping leaders and teaching Bible at Northwest Christian School. I also write books and articles.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Communication from Regent University. My area of emphasis is rhetoric and post-Christian homiletics. I firmly believe there is a general lack of writing and communication skills among clergy that can lead to uninspiring preaching. While my blog will feature a variety of subjects, it has a renewed focus on writing and speaking in the context of pastoral ministry.
